What is the rich text section?
The Rich text section provides a versatile space for storytelling and key information using headings, text and buttons. Use it to introduce products, share brand values, or outline services. The Alchemy theme enhances this section with features such as text highlights and an animated countdown timer, creating a more dynamic and engaging layout.
How to set up the rich text section
Steps
- Open the Theme Editor and add the Rich text section to the page.
- In the Layout settings, set the Content alignment and choose whether to have Full width content. Content that is not full width will fit the Maximum page width set in the Design theme settings.
- In the Style settings, select a Color scheme and background width.
- Set a Top boundary effect. This is used if the rich text section is not at the top of the page. Learn more in the content boundaries guide.
- Click Add block to add content to the section. There are six block types available: Heading, Subheading, Page content, Text, Button and Countdown timer.
How to use the heading text highlights
Alchemy theme versions after 7.0.0 includes advanced design settings to highlight key words or phrases in the Heading block - a creative toolset to bring additional movement and design interest. The theme offers a variety of highlight styles which can be combined to create many different looks.
- Alternative font, color or gradient
- Background - create a sticker effect with controls over shape, padding and rotation
- Drawing - add squiggles or strikes with controls over stroke width and margin
- Underline - use wavy, zig zag or straight lines with detailed controls over areas such as margin, wavelength and wave height
Steps
- In the settings for the Heading block, scroll down to the Text highlights settings and select Enable text highlights.
- Enter a word used in the Heading into the Highlight text box, takin care to match the original case.
- Pick the Highlight text font and Highlight text scale.
- Select the Highlight text color style - Default, Gradient color or Solid color.
- Set the Highlight style - Drawing, Underline, Background or None (color only). Selecting a style reveals multiple controls for each style.
- Open the Enable advanced settings toggle to reach more detailed controls specific to each style, including Highlight wavelength, Highlight top margin, Highlight vertical offset and Highlight rotate.
