What is the FAQ page?
The FAQ page allows merchants to highlight detailed answers to typical customer queries. By having a dedicated FAQ page, customers have an easy-to-find place where they can address their common questions, which helps to facilitate a frictionless buying process.
How to set up the FAQ page
- Open the Theme Editor.
- Select Pages > faq from the dropdown at the top.
- This page comes prebuilt with several sections, listed in the Template section of the left hand side of the screen.
- Once you have set up the content and layout, assign a page to use this template in the Shopify admin area Online store > Pages
In the Template section on the left of the screen, several sections are present by default: an Image with text overlay section which can also be used to hold the main h1 page heading, a FAQ header section for searching the content and displaying an index, Collapsible tabs sections to hold the faqs and a Rich text section which could be used to link to the store contact page. Sections can be added, removed or moved.

The faq page template is not listed in the Shopify admin area. How can I assign a page to this template?
Only page templates that exist in your published theme will show in the Shopify admin area page template picker. Read Shopify's Template guide for further assistance on this.
How do I show an index on the left?
To show an index, add an FAQ header section and choose the setting Show index column. The index will show the headings of one or more collapsible tabs sections that are positioned immediately below the FAQ header.
Why isn't my page content shown?
Content added directly to the page in the Shopify admin area Online store > Pages will not be shown on pages using the faq page template.
