What is the get the look section?
The Get the look section allows you to create shoppable looks or lookbooks for your customers. This is a great opportunity to demonstrate how to achieve the specific style or product combination to customers. The Beautify theme Get the look section groups products into ranges. Two products from each range are displayed in an accordion. This is combined with an image showing the look, with an optional inset image and roundel badge.
How to set up the get the look section
Steps
- Open the Theme Editor.
- On the left hand side, click Add section and add a Get the look section.
- Set your desired Main image and add a Secondary image if desired.
- Choose whether to show a Roundel and configure the inner and outer text and layout.
- Use the section Style settings to select a Color scheme and Section background.
- Click Add product range or select one of the existing blocks to showcase featured products and ranges.
- Within the Product range block, enter a Heading for the range and select up to two products.
- Highlight a specific product range by using the Open by default setting.
Tip
How to use the roundel
The Roundel is a circular badge which can be positioned overlapping the edge of the main image. This badge contains an outer text and an inner icon or text with optional outlines. The roundel can spin on scroll or independently.
Steps
- In the Get the look settings select Show Roundel to reveal the roundel controls.
- Set the Color.
- In the Roundel: Outer settings, add Outer text (if used) and set the Line height and Letter spacing.
- In the Roundel: Inner settings, select the Content type to be Text or one of the two icon styles: Icon: Basic or Icon: Cosmetics. If using an icon select the preferred icon design.
- In the Roundel: Layout settings, set the Roundel size and the outlines. Set the Spin to be On scroll, Slow, Medium, Fast or None.
How to use a section backgrounds
A section background can be used to create a smooth flow from one section to the next using gradients or colors. By matching section backgrounds or using gradients across multiple sections, sections can blend into one another.
Steps
- In the main Get the look settings, navigate to the Style settings.
- Select a Color scheme for the section.
- Choose one of the five Section background options to show around the banner image:
Default: Uses Beautify's default color scheme selected in Theme settings > Colors > Schemes.
Color: Select a custom Background color
Image: Upload a Background image
Simple gradient: Set the gradient start and end colors, plus the gradient style
Advanced gradient: Customize the gradient further using the COLOR STOP settings
