Shopify reviews app no longer available.
Shopify recently removed the Shopify Reviews app from their app store, and the exact reasons for this decision are not publicly disclosed. Unfortunately, we were not aware of this removal ahead of time.
Our demo stores are still using the Shopify Reviews app because it was installed before its removal from the app store. However, for new installations, we recommend considering other review apps that are actively supported and maintained.
It’s uncertain at this time whether the Shopify Reviews app will return to the app store. Therefore, we recommend exploring alternative third-party review apps for your Shopify store. There are several reputable options available on Shopify App Store that can help you collect and display customer reviews effectively.
How to set up product reviews
Themes do not have the ability to display reviews on their own. Therefore we recommend exploring alternative third-party review app.
There are several reputable options available on Shopify App Store that can help you collect and display customer reviews effectively.
Installing a reviews app to your store's admin is very easy, and once done, the theme will automatically pull in your product reviews and display them when you have enabled the setting. Furthermore, some of our themes also provide the added convenience of customising the display of reviews from the Theme Editor, which can be easily accessed through your store's Admin > Online store. So, you can easily navigate to a product, collection page, or related section on the homepage to access these settings.
If you prefer to use a different third-party app for reviews, you must contact that app's dedicated support team for assistance with integration and any issues. We cannot assist with third-party app integrations as all apps function differently. You can contact app developers directly from your store's app list by going to your Admin, and go to Apps. Choose Get Support next to the appropriate app.
The reviews are not displaying correctly on the page?
If you are experiencing issues with reviews not displaying correctly on your pages, it may be helpful to check the app's configuration and appearance settings to ensure you have set it up correctly.
For example, some apps have a padding option setting which, if set too high, can affect the display of the reviews.
If you continue to experience issues, contacting the app developer for assistance (Shopify support or the third-party app support team) is best.
