Inline videos

The Inline videos feature allows you to display an MP4 video in some sections of your store instead of an image.

The Inline videos feature allows you to display an MP4 video in some store sections instead of an image. We always recommend adding an image as well, so it will be displayed while the video loads. To display a video, you can use the URL of an MP4 video that is hosted directly on Shopify.

For example:

To upload an MP4 to your store, follow these steps:

From your Admin, go to Settings > Files.
Click the Upload files button to upload an MP4 video.
Once the video has finished uploading, you can copy the URL of the video and paste it into the relevant field in the theme settings.

The sections that support inline videos are:

Gallery
Media with text
Text columns with media

Note

Make sure your uploaded videos meet the following Shopify video requirements:

Video length: Up to 10 minutes
Video size: Up to 1 GB
Video resolution: Up to 4K (4096 x 2160 px)
Video file type: .mp4 or .mov
