Why is Canopy good for food stores?
The Canopy theme includes a persistent cart feature that is ideal for food stores and indeed other products frequently added to the cart - an important feature that allows the customer to check their cart at a glance on any page. Our Canopy natural demo shows this in action.
Canopy provides no options for scheduling food delivery or pickup times. However, delivery and pickup apps on the app store can handle this and integrate with your store's cart. Please remember that we cannot endorse any specific app, and it's best to contact the app developers for assistance with integration.
Tip
If your needs are not too complex, you may be able to use the Cart Notes feature on the cart page. To enable this feature, go to the Theme Editor from the Admin, select Cart page and check the Enable cart notes option.
The cart label can be easily modified in the language editor to something like, 'What's your preferred delivery time? (ASAP recommended)' or 'Do you have any specific allergies we should know?' These changes will provide a friendlier and more professional touch to the language used.
Store pickup
Canopy supports Shopify's standard Store Pickup feature to simplify the process. For more information on how to set it up, please refer to Setting up pickup for online orders. If you encounter any challenges while setting up Store Pickup, don't hesitate to contact Shopify support for assistance.
