Announcement bar
Add an announcement bar at the top of your Expression Shopify theme site. Here are some ideas you can use it for:
- Announce a seasonal sale for a limited time only!
- Mention the brand new discount code you have activated today!
- Encourage people to read your latest blog post by linking directly to it.
- State that all items have free shipping.
Navigation
The Expression theme supports both a standard 3 tier drop-down navigation.
The theme switches the menu into a full-width mega menu when every link inside a dropdown also has a dropdown.

This article explains more about creating a mega menu.
Add other menus in your store following the usual Shopify method explained here.
Collection images in mobile menu
Video guide
On the mobile version of the site, this option means any menu links you have added that go to a collection will display the collections you have assigned to it. It’s a nice feature we added to bring a bit more interesting look and feel to the menus on mobile.
Steps to create your collection images in your mobile menu
- Admin
- Online store
- Customise theme
- Select “Header”.
- Under “Navigation”, toggle the “Show collection images in mobile menu” checkbox.

Quick link
Video guide
The quick link feature allows you to insert links or add an email/phone number. If they are clicked it will prompt users to email from their desired email client or it will call the number. We suggest watching the video guide above for more information.

Currency options
Our themes support Shopify’s multi-currency checkout with Shopify Payments.
If you are not using Shopify Payments or you are in a location that doesn’t support Shopify Payments, you won’t be able to use the themes auto currency conversion feature.
Alternatively, you can achieve this through two other options by installing a currency conversion app or working with a Shopify Expert to customize the site to enable currency conversions.
Please note it is the responsibility of the app developers to ensure their products work with all themes on the Shopify theme store, so you’ll need to reach out to the relevant developer if you do have any issues during installation.

Payment icons
Payment icons are pulled directly from Shopify based on your payment settings.
Menus / links
You can choose to display two separate menus in the footer – the primary menu is laid out horizontally, 3 per row, and ‘wraps’ to create columns. The secondary menu is displayed smaller and near the payment icons, ideal for your policy pages.
How do I edit the text at the bottom of my pages?
Footer text such as “Powered by Shopify” and “Theme by Clean Canvas” can be edited or removed in the Language Editor.
